One exciting thing that happened this year is the installment of permanent raised beds at Seattle University. There are about six beds that have trellises and the plants growing there are starting to look really healthy and beautiful! My friend, Colleen, is sharing a bed with her History of Costume professor, and I went with her when she planted spinach and lettuce starts earlier this week.
