This is the first entry for a series I’m doing to record the activities of an independent study I’m working on, to be finished June 11. For my independent study, I will be learning about gardening, practically and in the community spirit. This will include reading Public Produce by Darrin Nordahl and gardening at my new gardening space in Ballard, called the Microfarm. I will be growing for myself and my friends, and also plant in a space for the Ballard Food Bank.
