I think I've sufficiently recovered from a 3-month-long bout of largely uninspiring work. Hints follow:

This was the landscape I studied every day.
This was my dress, but you must also imagine cut-resistant gloves covered in nitrile gloves.

My hands looked even smaller than usual in my huge, hi-viz coat.
Not everything was discouraging at this job. There were signs of nature persevering even at the most broken-down gas stations:

The rosebush blooms even as the vac-machine flops over in defeat.
Does this bush need an ugly, cement planter to show off its shiny foliage? It thinks not.

Anyway, it's good to be doing my work again. I expect to be much more present in general, as evidenced by my return to my blog.
